A few things
you should know.
Can I create an account?
Yes. Use Create account / Sign in above, then choose Create account. Your Novelist site account supports purchases and memberships. Folio release drafts are currently saved on this device; your account does not yet store release files, application status, or royalty reports. You can apply for early access without an account.
Do I keep ownership of my music?
The proposed distribution service lets you retain your existing master ownership. Novelist’s distribution permission and the recordings covered will be set out in your agreement.
What does it cost?
Pilot pricing and any royalty commission will be shared before you sign up. Applying for early access and using this release planner do not require payment.
Will the planner put my music on streaming services?
The planner prepares a download on your device. It does not send files to Novelist or deliver music to stores. Accepted artists will receive submission instructions when their distribution account is ready.
Can I move music from another distributor?
Tell us about your current distributor in your application. We’ll agree a transfer plan before moving existing releases. Keep your current releases active until that plan is confirmed.
Is publishing included?
Distribution and publishing administration are separate services. Any publishing, Content ID, or additional rights services will require a clearly defined scope and authorization.
